What GutterLine does

GutterLine operates gutterline.app, a directory of gutter contractors. Homeowners can search for local contractors and contact them directly. Contractors can claim and manage their listings and subscribe to paid tiers for additional visibility. GutterLine is operated by Tom Pryor, Mebane, NC.

Information we collect

From homeowners

When you submit a contact form on a contractor profile, we collect your name, phone number, and message. This is forwarded to the contractor you are contacting and stored in our database so the contractor can track their inquiry history.

When you use the search features, your search queries (city, state) are processed to route you to relevant results and are not stored by GutterLine. No account is required to search the directory.

When you use the estimate lookup tool, we log anonymized events (page views, code entries, estimate views) to help contractors understand how their estimates are performing. These events are not linked to your identity.

From contractors

When you claim a listing, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.

Some contractor information in the directory (business name, phone number, address, website, ratings, and business description) is sourced from publicly available information including Google Places and contractor websites. Directory profiles may include algorithmically generated business descriptions derived from publicly available data, including paraphrased summaries of third-party consumer reviews. Such descriptions are produced programmatically and do not constitute endorsements. Contractors may claim their listing to edit or replace any automatically generated content at no charge. If your information is incorrect or you want your listing removed, email us at support@gutterline.app.

How we use your information

• To connect homeowners with contractors by forwarding contact form submissions
• To operate and improve the directory
• To send contractors notifications about their listings and incoming leads
• To send contractors emails about their listing status and upgrade options
• To process payments for paid subscription tiers through Stripe

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the platform:

• Supabase (database, authentication, file storage) - supabase.com
• Resend (email delivery) - resend.com
• Stripe (payment processing) - stripe.com
• Vercel (website hosting) - vercel.com

When a homeowner submits a contact form, their name, phone number, and message are shared with the contractor they contacted.

Standard server log data including IP addresses may be retained by our hosting and infrastructure providers (Vercel, Supabase) in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Cookies

GutterLine does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use only the essential session cookies required to operate the website.

Data retention

Contact form submissions are retained to help contractors track their inquiry history. Contractor account data is retained as long as the listing exists. You may request deletion at any time by emailing support@gutterline.app.

Your rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing support@gutterline.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. The effective date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
